1. Go to regular chess tournaments

There are many places you can go and have fun playing games with others. It's also a great place to increase your chess rating. You can also get a trophy at some tournaments. There are also state chess championships and nationals held every year.

2. Practice tactics puzzles

Practicing tactic puzzles is great to learn new chess tactics and new ways to think in chess. Some websites to do tactic puzzles are lichess.org and chess.com. Some software to do tactic puzzles is CT-ART and TASC CD. Some books are 5334 problems, combinations, and games.

3. Learn openings and endgames

Learning openings and endgames are essential to increase your chess rating. Openings help you have a better position and have an advantage over your opponent. Knowing endgames helps you checkmate or if you are losing, making the game a draw.

That's it for this post! See you all next time!
